Have your voice heard on Gender Neutral Housing!

The Student Association and Residence Hall Association will be collecting student feedback on Gender Neutral Housing from 10am-12pm on April 9th.

All information will be submitted to the Gender Neutral Housing Review Committee, a committee of faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni representatives tasked with reviewing the possibility of implementing a gender neutral housing policy for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Perform in the Drag Ball!

Allied in Pride is looking for GW's finest kings and queens to compete in the GW Drag Ball's student drag competition.

Any students interested in performing should email allied@gwu.edu.

Prizes ($35 Amazon Gift Cards) will be given for best king, best queen and best dressed.

Extra points if you rock a black leotard while doing the Single Ladies dance.

SA Endorsements

Allied in Pride will be holding Student Association endorsement hearings on Sunday, February 21st in Marvin Center 302:

  • 2:00pm: Senate-At Large
  • 2:30pm: EVP
  • 3:00pm President

Candidates running for other positions should Contact Us for a written application. You will have 24 hours to complete your application. Late applications will not be accepted.

Allied in Pride will endorse candidates that have a strong history of supporting LGBT students and will be most effective in championing LGBT issues next year.

Marriage Equality Update

Due to the predicted blizzard-like conditions for February 9th and 10th in the DC Metro Area, the Allied in Pride Executive Board has decided to postpone Marriage Equality Week.

Meghan McCain will visit GW later this semester to hold her discussion titled, “Redefining Republican: No Labels, No Boxes, No Stereotypes.” Details will be forthcoming. Speed Dating, our Celebration in U-Yard, and our Town OUTing will also be rescheduled for later in the semester.

We look forward to fighting for Marriage Equality with you, and urge you to stay safe during the snow storms.

Meghan McCain Tickets

The first round of tickets to the Meghan McCain event will be available on Monday, February 1st at the completion of Safe Zone Training.

Prior to the start of the training, we will record attendance in order of arrival. Tickets will then be handed out at the end of the training.

A second round of tickets will be released on Tuesday, February 2nd at one pm in the Allied in Pride office (MC 419).
