The Association of Queer Women and Allies (AQWA)

The Association of Queer Women and Allies (AQWA) aims to create a supportive and educational environment for lesbian/bisexual/transgender/transsexual/queer/questioning women of GWU and their allies. It also aims to discuss issues relevant to the queer women’s community, and to educate queer women and the GW community on general queer women's issues.

AQWA aims to achieve this purpose through social events and outings, speakers and workshops, disseminating health and safe sex information and participating in political advocacy for queer women and allies.

Past Events include socials, movie screenings, discussions, field trips, community service, and a sex toy party.
